In 2022, I will read more. I have always liked to read but I have fallen out of the habit. Sometimes I’ll listen to a youtube video or read an online article but actually holding a book in my hand from start to end is a habit I’ve fallen out of.

Here are the books I’ve read in 2022:
Crucial Conversations

Book 1 down… Crucial Conversations. Anyone else read this?! I would love to discuss how you have put these skills to use!
A big “ah-ha” moment for me was the need to determine 1. what you want out of the conversation and 2. create safety for yourself and others. Notice when the conversation takes a turn for silence or violence and help turn the scenario around. Happy Communicating!
Raving Fans

The second book of the year was a required read for coaching college with Rick Olson!
“Raving Fans” had some good insights about revamping the customer experience by starting small and changing 1% before overhauling a whole program.
The book came at just the right time for some strategic goals we have for the #customerexperience.
How have you approached changing a service environment? Any other good books to recommend about #changemanagement?
Emotional Intelligence 2.0

Book 3 is completed. This one took a bit longer but it was necessary to read and absorb it all.
Were you aware there are different parts of emotional intelligence?
The way this book is structured breaks EQ into 4 different areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. It also gives helpful exercises to strengthen each of those areas.
What tips do you have for managing your awareness of your emotions?
Atomic Habits (coming soon!)
Book 4 on the…books.
I switched up and did it as an audiobook. I am learning that I fell out of the habit of reading because it’s hard for me to sit and read with all the activities in my house. This book was a great way to discover some hindrances to the routine I’ve found myself in.
