My Coaching Bio

Megann delights in coaching others through change.

Megann obtained her Leadership Coaching Certification from the University of Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness (CLOE) and is the recipient of the Highest Achievement Award from Dale Carnegie: Skills for Success training. She is Hogan Assessment Certified as well as certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Additionally, she holds a Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) from Villanova University.

A word cloud of how our CLOE class described our coaching class.

Growing up near Washington, DC, Megann was raised by an HR professional executive coach and a stay-at-home parent with a small business. This upbringing contributes to her unique insight into the world. Professionally she has worked in customer service for over 20 years. She has helped cultivate positive growth cultures in the financial, retail, and education sectors. As far as experience, she’s worked at Navy Federal Credit Union to Blockbuster. She also acted as a leader of the Academic Team and social media tutor/influencer for ALO 7, an international online education platform for Chinese students. She has also started and owned her own small business.

An avid learner and reader, Megann enjoys expanding her knowledge of all things life at any opportunity. She asks questions that make you think and wonder about how you approach your own story. She provides insight with warmth and positivity and she delights in coaching folks through transitions in life. Be it, a career change, a new marriage engagement, becoming a parent, or balancing your career and your family, she’ll have a story to bring things into perspective.

Megann gets a thrill when someone she’s coaching breaks through their own limits and biases so they can celebrate life’s unique journey. She helps others discover and identify the driving forces behind their whys to incorporate them into growth and learning. In her coaching relationships, Megann uses positive psychology and strength-based approaches as well as a little humor when the situation calls for it.

Personally, Megann enjoys traveling with her husband, Ross, and their four children, Fitz, Logan, Amanda, and Aubrey. You can follow their travels at www.thetravelingwithers.com. She is an aspiring children’s book author, musician, artist, and voiceover actress. Additionally, Megann has had the pleasure of officiating a few weddings over the years for some dear friends. Megann hosts a monthly free online parenting group. To learn more and join us next month, submit a contact request here.
