The Work Matters Because People Do.
Coaching, leadership, training, and mentorship are deeply human work.
These are reflections from people I’ve had the privilege to coach, mentor, teach, work alongside, and learn with throughout my career.
What do people experience when they work with me?
Across industries, roles, and seasons of life, a few themes show up again and again: feeling heard, being challenged thoughtfully, seeing possibilities differently, and finding the confidence to move forward.
“She made me want to aim higher. And I did.”
“Megann may have thought she was simply encouraging an employee who had a few ideas. What she actually did was help me rewire the way I thought about my own potential.”
Katelynn describes being early in her career, full of ideas but unsure how to get others to see their potential. Instead of dismissing those ideas, Megann encouraged her to keep improving, keep sharing, and keep believing that her ideas were worth hearing.
Years later, Katelynn says that encouragement became part of the way she leads others. She intentionally created an environment where employees could bring forward ideas and even developed a formal company program for employee feedback and innovation.
In just three years, she moved from working as a call center representative to becoming the Director of Training and Marketing for a commercial construction company.

Listen Deeply. Ask Better Questions. Help People Move.
Different people. Different organizations. Different stages of life and career. Yet the feedback consistently comes back to the same things.
Listen
Pay attention to what is said — and sometimes what isn’t.
Ask
Use thoughtful questions to create insight rather than prescribe answers.
Challenge
Create enough safety for people to stretch, experiment, and grow.
Move
Turn reflection into decisions, confidence, action, and forward momentum.
The best part?
Sometimes you don’t get to see the impact of a conversation until years later.
Someone you encouraged becomes the person encouraging someone else. Someone you coached becomes a better coach. Someone who once doubted their ideas becomes the leader inviting ideas from others.
That’s the kind of ripple I’m interested in creating.
What could change with the right conversation?
Whether you’re navigating a career transition, developing as a leader, building a stronger team, or figuring out what comes next, we can start there.
